BELLEVUE, WA – July 15, 2013 – Tecplot was honored to again receive a Seattle Business Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” award.
This coveted award is based on judges’ conclusions from business’ employee data submitted anonymously. Companies were scored in twelve categories including communication, executive leadership, corporate culture, and workplace environment. This year, in the midsized company category, Tecplot ranked 13th, up one notch from last year where they ranked 14th.
Tecplot scored highest in Leadership and Communication. According to the award sponsor, Seattle Business Magazine, judges based their evaluation on these criteria:
- Leadership. Inspire employees to do well. Encourage team spirit. Respect employees and their opinions. Promote diversity. Encourage employees to take leadership. Build strong relationships based on trust.
- Communication. Share good and bad news about the business. Make management accessible to employees and encourage feedback.
Lisa Greenlee, VP of Administration at Tecplot said, “We are honored that our employees rated us highly in the Leadership category, but ranking so high in Communication was especially rewarding for two reasons:
- Of all the 100 winning companies, only four scored well in Communication.
